Full House High Tea with Wong Fu Productions

I had never been to Full House though I have heard off it from the blogs I've read. So I knew what to expect. But when I was there, panic stricken.

I had wanted so badly win tickets to catch Wong Fu while they were here in Malaysia. I've been a big fan since their Yellow Fever days and it'll always good to see genuinely talented people succeed. #hipster

I joined all of the competitions hosted by Inspire.ME and Nuffnang but sadly did not win any. I was hoping to be able to get a VIP seat so that I stand a chance to have high tea with the boys. As luck would have it, Nuffnang kept the best for last. A Hi Tea with Wong Fu Productions competition was held. And yes, on Fri I found out I had won the ultimate prize. See things have a way of working out for the better. And trust me it gets better.
The moment I stepped into Full House I was panicking. Dressed in a Red Skater dress from Doublewoot, I knew no one. Here is a lass who took a bus from Penang to see this bunch of guys from Youtube. The place was packed. You could sense the excitement. Fortunately, scanning the faces there I registered a familiar one. Jackie Loi whom I had met at NAPBAS was there. Hallelujah! And sitting together was Nuffie Fresh. Double hellujah!
The organization could have been better but no big crisis. Food was nice, location nice. Quite a lot of people for a high tea.

Managed to snap this picture of Lainey in anticipation of her Prince Charming. It was my 1st time meeting her and she was such a nice person. Even passed me her Wong Fu ticket from the night before so that I could get some signature as a momento.

The ladies, Fresh, Lainey and Peanutxz.

The Hi Tea started in a typical Malaysian timing. Something that the Wes had a taste of. But in the end they did arrive, fashionably late. But all the running about and getting stuck in jams were visible in their faces. Still they put on a brave front.

My 1st picture with Mr Phil Wang. I've always admired his energy. He is my action man of Wong Fu Productions. Always willing to put into action all the wonderful ideas. Spontaneity comes to mind. I wanted to pick his brains further about early pitfalls and what gives him all the energy and courage to do things. But...Fan Girls alert.

That was the one problems I had. The Fan Girls. I too am a fan girl but I was respectful to the organisers to follow their rules and only take limited amount of pictures. This was suppose to be an intimate hi tea. Us sitting together, chatting and getting to know each other. Instead it was all about getting the pictures.
The wonderful gift from Lainey making my moment more memorable. Here is Wes being so lovely and obliging. I can't imagine the pressure he was in to draw ion the bottle caps as he tends to take forever to analyse even the smallest details or concept. I think it would take a very special lady to put up be compatible with him. As I waited patiently for my turn to have a picture with him, more fan girls came. They even cut que to take pictures with him =(
But Wes being a Nice Guy noticed and actually told a girl "one moment, she's been waiting awhile now"  and turned towards me. *kichack*

I'm a happy girl now. As I politely stepped away and then Wes was consumed. Well not literally.

Perhaps it was the hoards of fan girls sapping the energy from me or the sheer bliss of meeting people I so admired in the flesh, I plopped myself  like a good girl in my chair as to avoid being part of the hoard. Having a giddy silly smile on my face I chatted with my new found friends.

On a side note, I must comment that the Manager of Full House was very accommodating. He kept my luggage in a safe place, tolerating the young teeny boppers drooling over some talented eye candies. It must have looked very perplexing to him but he kept a friendly straight face anyway. Later the girls and I decided to have dinner there. The Salmon that Mr Manager recommended was delicious! Not too big a portion, slightly sweet. The house wine had a little too much tanin for my taste but all was well.

Lainey was so kind as to drop me off to the nearest LRT and thus I made my way to Penang Airport via Air Asia.

Things always has a way of working out. Although Nice Guy Ted could not be there, I had saved a spot on the card the next time we meet.

Sure Wong Fu Productions have the looks. Sort of the boyband for film productions, one to suite every taste, but their sheer talent and determination is inspirational. Somehow, they managed to make something simple seem so professional and yet not conform to trends. Standing proud as an advocate for all things nice and wholesome. Something I hope to represent. See, you can be nice and cool. Something I hope to become.

All in all it was a magical journey for me. One that I hope to be a stepping stone for greater things to come. Before I end...
Here's one for the memory box. WF4L

Hotel Review: Eastin Hotel

So there I was, the digital clock showing 10 pm and nothing has been done. The decision to go to Kuala Lumpur  the very next day was one that was unexpected. The hotel was a breeze to settle. The logistics was a nightmare and I hadn't even slept yet.

In just a few blinks the digital clock stuck 12.00 I froze as if I had turned into a pumpkin. I had to pack. In a wardrobe flurry and a twister mindset I stuffed what I deemed were suitable and what I thought I had needed. Needless to say I had to re pack everything. The clock struck 1am and I was not done. I knew that there was a bus leaving at 8.45 am but the silly ticket people had chosen to play hide and seek with my calls. I prayed and went to sleep.

The weather was fine as I miraculously managed to get the final ticket on the fastest most reliable bus. Still I was on my way for business and a side of pleasure. Business 1st I kept telling myself. So there I sat, with sunglasses to keep my ideas in my mind as the palm trees whizz pass me. I felt like a businesswoman, empowered.

I tweeted along the way. I had to, it kept me sane. Yes I have an addiction but it's not a problem especially with this little helper at hand. The Belkin portable travel charger is awesome. Sleek design ensures that you can fit it to even your shirt pocket along side your rejuvenating smartphone. Even with constant tweeting and web browsing, it lasted me till the wee hours of the morning.

I had reached Pudu station at about 3pm. The LRT ride to Kelana Jaya evoked memories of my varsity days. Funny how different it felt to be on the speeding train. Perhaps it was because I was on a time crunch that I felt the LRT has slowed down with time.

With the assistance of a dear friend, I managed to get to the showroom in time for business. I shall not go into details but it was promising and insightful. I never knew tailoring was so interesting.

A skip away I was in Taylors. Hanging out with Suresh, Isaac, Chloe and KenWooi while waiting for Wong Fu  to head indoors to hordes of fans. But more about them later.

While catching up with Suresh at Starbucks, I realised that not a drop of warm food had touched my belly since the night before. Thanks to the adrenaline from my adventures, I was too excited to eat. So it was just a simple soup for me at the beautiful Taylors Lake Side Campus.
This was where I stayed. Eastin Hotel at Petaling Jaya. I had made my reservations the night before and checked in at 1 am. It was the very same person who took my reservations and he was such a dear. Remembered my name and a pleasure to chat with. Yes he was indeed very cute but kept it professional. Thank you Darren for the impeccable hospitality.
A quick look around the room.

Statement pieces.

Useful table for the laptop and emergency ironing area.

Relaxing art piece.

I love the deep drawers.

Basic toiletries. No toothbrush though so bring your own.
Sadly there was one little flaw...

My pristine towel has not been cleaned properly. Good thing that there were other towels to be used at it was late and I just wanted to turn in.

Overall I love the comfy bed and the TV channels. Definitely a good place to lay your head.

The next morning, bright and early. I had to book my flight back but sadly Firefly has this douchbag policy where by any flight from their Subang airport to Penang booked within 24hours was RM380. The operator even had to cheek to tell me that there were plenty of seats left. So, I had to take the further flight from Air Asia.

Crisis averted. A nice place for a good book and some tea.

Bathroom shot.
Lovely dress from DoubleWoot. I love this dress, simple and chic. Easy to accessories and great material for fantastic price. The the pop of colour really adds life.
After settling my logistics I was in good spirit to dress up for my next agenda.

Lovely sunny day but how shall I get to 1 Utama?

By shuttle bus of course! Eastin Hotel provides scheduled FREE shuttle service to 1Utama, The Curve, MidValley even to KLCC and other places. How awesome is that to a carless lass stuck in the city.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return for a more relaxed and less hectic stay.

Miracle Grooming Spray

We have shampoo, conditioners and hair mask for our hair to nourish it. Making sure it grows strong, healthy and smooth. No reason why our dogs can't have the same!

Our little bundle of joy of which we love to cuddle deserves some TLC: tender loving care.
Makes cuddling less abrasive and a gentle time.

So here we have the Miracle Grooming Spray.

Kinzonu was actually my doggie trainer. He is really good at training small to huge dogs! Amazing during my 1st class with him he could handle the boisterous Sky in seconds.

He recommended one of his products as our climate tends to make Husky our grow a little more frizzy and rougher, unless you keep them in the luxury of the air condition at all times which is really an unnecessary extravagance. But I digress.

Great against mats and tangles as well as being anti static.
Very easy to use. Just mist on wet coat after batch ar blow drying or even on dry coat. That's it!
If you wish, you could add in some light massage to pamper the doggie.

I have not tried but I bet it can used on medium to long haired cats.
Kinzonu even assures me it can be used on human hair!
Any hair for that matter.

He specifically imported this product and repackaged it to make it more unfriendly. Just a few press of the nozzle and an even layer will come out to coat your little furry darling. I'm using it on my Husky but if you have small dogs with hair problems this is the product for you too!

You can't really tell it here but Sky has rough hair. I wish you could feel it and see. Cuddles are not so comfortable.

A few applications later there is a definite change in texture! Fluffier and softer. More huggable.
