Hotel Review: Eastin Hotel

So there I was, the digital clock showing 10 pm and nothing has been done. The decision to go to Kuala Lumpur  the very next day was one that was unexpected. The hotel was a breeze to settle. The logistics was a nightmare and I hadn't even slept yet.

In just a few blinks the digital clock stuck 12.00 I froze as if I had turned into a pumpkin. I had to pack. In a wardrobe flurry and a twister mindset I stuffed what I deemed were suitable and what I thought I had needed. Needless to say I had to re pack everything. The clock struck 1am and I was not done. I knew that there was a bus leaving at 8.45 am but the silly ticket people had chosen to play hide and seek with my calls. I prayed and went to sleep.

The weather was fine as I miraculously managed to get the final ticket on the fastest most reliable bus. Still I was on my way for business and a side of pleasure. Business 1st I kept telling myself. So there I sat, with sunglasses to keep my ideas in my mind as the palm trees whizz pass me. I felt like a businesswoman, empowered.

I tweeted along the way. I had to, it kept me sane. Yes I have an addiction but it's not a problem especially with this little helper at hand. The Belkin portable travel charger is awesome. Sleek design ensures that you can fit it to even your shirt pocket along side your rejuvenating smartphone. Even with constant tweeting and web browsing, it lasted me till the wee hours of the morning.

I had reached Pudu station at about 3pm. The LRT ride to Kelana Jaya evoked memories of my varsity days. Funny how different it felt to be on the speeding train. Perhaps it was because I was on a time crunch that I felt the LRT has slowed down with time.

With the assistance of a dear friend, I managed to get to the showroom in time for business. I shall not go into details but it was promising and insightful. I never knew tailoring was so interesting.

A skip away I was in Taylors. Hanging out with Suresh, Isaac, Chloe and KenWooi while waiting for Wong Fu  to head indoors to hordes of fans. But more about them later.

While catching up with Suresh at Starbucks, I realised that not a drop of warm food had touched my belly since the night before. Thanks to the adrenaline from my adventures, I was too excited to eat. So it was just a simple soup for me at the beautiful Taylors Lake Side Campus.
This was where I stayed. Eastin Hotel at Petaling Jaya. I had made my reservations the night before and checked in at 1 am. It was the very same person who took my reservations and he was such a dear. Remembered my name and a pleasure to chat with. Yes he was indeed very cute but kept it professional. Thank you Darren for the impeccable hospitality.
A quick look around the room.

Statement pieces.

Useful table for the laptop and emergency ironing area.

Relaxing art piece.

I love the deep drawers.

Basic toiletries. No toothbrush though so bring your own.
Sadly there was one little flaw...

My pristine towel has not been cleaned properly. Good thing that there were other towels to be used at it was late and I just wanted to turn in.

Overall I love the comfy bed and the TV channels. Definitely a good place to lay your head.

The next morning, bright and early. I had to book my flight back but sadly Firefly has this douchbag policy where by any flight from their Subang airport to Penang booked within 24hours was RM380. The operator even had to cheek to tell me that there were plenty of seats left. So, I had to take the further flight from Air Asia.

Crisis averted. A nice place for a good book and some tea.

Bathroom shot.
Lovely dress from DoubleWoot. I love this dress, simple and chic. Easy to accessories and great material for fantastic price. The the pop of colour really adds life.
After settling my logistics I was in good spirit to dress up for my next agenda.

Lovely sunny day but how shall I get to 1 Utama?

By shuttle bus of course! Eastin Hotel provides scheduled FREE shuttle service to 1Utama, The Curve, MidValley even to KLCC and other places. How awesome is that to a carless lass stuck in the city.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return for a more relaxed and less hectic stay.

Yeah, Eastin is a nice place to stay. I spent a couple of nights there during my sister's KL leg of the wedding. I was in Sibu then and found the hotel quite nice.

I was there with my then-gf and stayed at 3 different hotels, changing a couple of days to different areas (saving on taxis).

I liked Eastin the most. :D
