Loft For Rent @ Empire Subang

Hotels are awesome, but they aren't available in all the places that I want to visit. I don't always have my car with me when I travel so location is very important.

Take Subang for example. I used to stay there and even though I'm in North Malaysia now, I do miss Subang. So convenient, the shopping complexes, the food shops, entertainment, mamak, hang out spots. I better stop, this is getting too depressing for me. I used to stay in SS18, so SS15 was literally just across the street and Ben and I would just walk over for our dates. Yes, rain or shine we walked. Just 10 minutes away while driving and looking for parking would have taken us a good 30 minutes! Triple the time. We've even walked to Subang Parade. Healthy, romantic and economical. That's why location is everything.

Many of the hotels are located around Subang Pyramid area. Sure you could opt for public transportation to get about but even so, you will still be caught in the evil death trap of our Malaysian traffic jam. And though some friends have offered their home, we felt uncomfortable to intrude, especially for a couple of days.
But...there is always a but isn't there?

BUT, someone told me I could always rent a loft.

Scenes of a chic New York socialite flashed before me. Me rent a loft? Aren't they like only for the rich and famous? Not really.
Look at this.

Glow Playing Nurse...

Bonjour~
Glow will be out of service for awhile because...

she is busy playing nurse.

Yeah, with the doctor...

Ben just has an operation the other day on his knee to repair a 8 year old ACL tear injury he got while trying to do a fade out basket ball throw in college to show off  share skills with the captain of the basket ball team captain.

The ball made it in, he heard a pop and voila, torn ligament.

Through out the years it has gotten progressively worse so now finally he is getting it fixed by another doctor.

Despite the picture above I wish I could look as sexy and seductive in hopes to stimulate Ben's speedy recovery but in the real world I'll be wearing a worn out baby T, shorts, messy hair and the lovely scent of of natural bodily sweat wafting out.

Imagine that...

Gosh, I think I make a horrid nurse.
But I do enjoy living out that fantasy of helping people with their daily chores, physiotherapy and cheering them on to get well soon as they cringe in pain.

So for now my blogging job has to take a back seat. Sorry.
Please do drop by anyways as I will be missing my lovelies.

M Store

It's getting Juicy In Penang,
Juicy Couture that is.
Penang is starting to make it's mark as a fashion consumer haven. No longer needing to travel to KL for that luscious bag, now fashion is in 1st Avenue Mall Penang!
In fact the M store carries some of the coveted pieces that are not even stocked in their KL.
Started by the great Dato Farah Khan The M store Penang opened it's doors early April. And recently, your truly was invited for an intimate press conference.
Ready to couture your self?

Juicy is an American based Apparel brand highlighting casual to dressy wear.
Often described as for those who are young at heart, this brand has set it self to be an up scale casual addiction to many.

Love their luxurious velour line. So snugly.

Couture comfort at it's best.

Puffed sleeves perfect for our humid weather.

Navy inspired for a stroll at Straits Quay.

Be prepared to Juicy your hair.

Earrings, Necklaces, Bracelets

All charmed I'm sure.

In case you wanted more bling.

Assorted yummy charms to choose from. I feel like a kid in a candy store.

The Juicy gal.
Relaxed, casual yet effortlessly pampered.

Mr Ferhat, our guide for the day holding one of his cravings.
Loving his T shirt. I hope they are bringing them into their store in Penang soon.

Ready for some of my favourite pieces?

I love these bags.
Made of Scuba diving wear material that gives the lovely structured look.
And the best part?

Yup, totally washable!

I'm all for functionality

I have my eye on the lovely lilac coloured one.

And yup that is the name. Leghila is from Brazil  but I love the Malaysian pun. Mockingly saying if you're crazy for not buying them.

What goes best with clothes and bags?
Accessories of course

Sparkly goodness.

Quirky fun.

It's an orang hutan in case you are wondering ^^

Bold statement pieces that can glamorize any outfit.
All from the crazy minds of Apartment.

At 1st I thought these were just Magazines used to display belts. "Creative" I thought.

But little did I know that these...

Were actually clutches. Devious~ Well played designers.

Of course being in Penang, they have many items suited for the laid back beach style.

Statement flip flops.

Careless chic

Intriguing messages on must have items.
I spent so much time reading through all these messages.

More rocking bags. By the way the American Flag bag in the foreground is sold out in their outlets in KL. Pop on by to Penang and get it soon.

If it was in pink, I think Audrey of Fourfeetnine would snap this up.

My partner in crime, Emily of Millyminc

Of course I had to try on something right?
I was drawn to many but this piece stood out.

A piece by Hale Bob called Vintage.
Love the lines, prints and flow.
Wishing I had more asset to carry this off.

To further illustrate how awesome the M store is,
Short of having the kitchen sink, they even retail shoes!

SCHUTZ Shoes to be exact as well as many great brands.

Now boys, if you've made it this far congrats as you have not been left out.

There's also a little section for you too.
The M store has provided a lovely little nook to rest your feet as your mademoiselle peruses.

Although a female may invade that holy sanctum of yours.
Loving this masculine bag.

Phew... Time for a break.

Amuse-bouche petite et dĂ©licieux from right across the store and washed down with a refreshing Virgin Shirley Temple.

Re invigorated we continue on to our last leg of the shopping race.

I love the fact that local designers are sharing store space with many greats.

Yes, this is by our gorgeous Malaysian, Kavita

A line of ready beach wear, perfect for our Penang sun sea and sand.

Right in front of the store.
Crowning glories from our Borneo Princess
Double Rainbow!

A demure Blair in purple

This is better, a pretty sunny lemon Kuching Cat range. Purrfection.

The M store is located on the ground floor of 1st Avenue Mall, Penang.
They house a large collection of brands such as:

Aigner
FK by FARAH KHAN
Fred Perry Laurel
Furla
Hale Bob
Stretta
Kavita
Sereni and Shentel
Schutz
Tintamar Whitting and Davis
and many more.

At the end of the day,

I could not resist. The only restraint was what little sanity I had left and money in my purse.

And so I left the M store with a new pair of Schutz.

Hello Sunshine!~
