My New Currency Guardian: Braun Buffel

Time for me to grow up and get adult stuff. No more pink and purple Teddy Tales cases for my hard earned money. Time to leave the cutesie weathered wallet and upgrade to a professional purse *sniff*

Ben has been pestering me for the upgrade. A woman of my position now deserves something of higher class. What position? To me high class always means the wallet will get much lighter. But begrudgingly I eventually agreed.

There I was in Braun Buffel, Queensbay Mall for the next 2 hours. Picking and choosing.

  • Some thing functional
  • Something nice
  • Nothing easy to scratch
  • Nothing too boring
  • Not to big
  • Not too small.
  • Not too trendy
  • Not too dated

In fact, even I didn’t know what I was looking for. The Holy Grail of purses perhaps?

So I browsed and perused. Felt practically every purse there was in the shop in my hands. Kept asking the kind lady, Noor, to show me again the purse she just put back into the case. I’m almost certain I’ve molested all the purses there twice over!

I was probably the worst customer she had in a while. Not really wanting to buy something but being forced to. Setting all these silly boundaries only to go back on my words. Difficult was what I was that day.

But sweet kind Noor was so nice. I felt bad having her to take out the same pieces so many times and kept asking for a new model only to change my mind.

Still she obliged with a smile. Making small chit chat with me and also giving me her input. Mind you she’s not the kind that sells everything to the customers. After bonding for an hour plus she kind of knew my taste and even pulled me back to sanity when I was considering a laud statement making magenta coloured piece.

So, after 120++ minutes in the store I made my choice. This is my new guardian of currency and all important cards.

Something sweet and feminine. Not too dull and slightly rough surface so scratches won’t be too obvious. Yes, scratches are inevitable on anything left with me. But I’m trying to curb that, trying.

But why Braun Buffel?

  • How bout paying lower end for top quality.
  • How bout not paying a bulk sum just for the brand.
  • And how does free polishing service in any Braun Buffel outlet sounds?

Yes, great service are priceless.

Or in this case lower range for top quality and service.

After meeting Noor, I’m happy I made my choice. You see, when the sales person is actually so gracious and nice, it makes splurging all the less guilty. Yes, I’m clutching at straws here.

Now pardon me as I check periodically if there are any scratches on my new baby yet. Fingers crossed.

P/S: Have you ever splurged on something just because the sales person was so darn nice?

Nuffnang Bloggers Meet

Cupcakes with good looking people.
YUM!

Hailing all good looking people from Nuffnang. Glow of Bonjour Glow is available in Pavilion this weekend!

That was 2 weeks ago. If you had missed me, too bad for you because we had cupcakes *grin*

I left a shout out in Twitter and Facebook. Suresh, the ever vigilant blogger heard me and was appointed as the manager without him actually knowing it. He did a good job too despite the last minute round up.

This lucky man surrounded by the fair maidens is Mr President of Gliteratti Plus. Shah is a blogger as well at The Teh Tarik Memoirs. Actually all of us are bloggers of some kind under the umbrella of Nuffnang, hence the title.

The averagely tall, dark and handsome guy to the left is none other then Suresh, the treasure bearer of Gliteratti Plus. The 2 high ranking officials were so kind in meeting us and entertaining our prodding noob questions about Gliteratti Plus, Nuffnang, blogging and of course the inside scoop about other bloggers.

  • Such as new member opportunities to more bloggers who wish to join Gliteratti Plus
  • Exciting things from Gliteratti Plus to the Northern Bloggers.
  • *Secret*
  • *Secret*
And the best thing of all
  • *SECRET!*

Even I don't know what it is but I could tell from the twinkle in pretty boy Shah and Suresh's eyes, you bet it's something wonderful.

Other fellow good looking bloggers who were there, the "young" Tikkoss, pretty Li Chuen and sweet Sim Yee.

Doris was there too but had to skedaddle as her boss was calling her about her extended lunch hour. Yes we met on Friday at of all places Carl's Junior in Pavilion.

After the President left and us having warmed the seats of Carl's Junior sufficiently, it was time for dessert.

It was revealed that the very next day was Suresh's birthday! So what better excuse then to have some cup sized cakes then someones birthday! Yes Suresh, we were just using you as an excuse to have cake. A darn good one too I must say.

Me trying to fulfill my New Year Resolution decided to sponsor the cupcakes for the impromptu birthday bash. Got them yummies from Just Heavenly and proceeded to Snowflake.

Dessert OD. As if we weren't already sweet enough. Alright now a slew of customary pictures with our victim/cupcake of choice to devour.

Not to be out done by my NOM picture,
here is Tikkoss's attempt.

Hmm...

With the Birthday boy.
Here's wishing Suresh another year of belly aching laughter, pinkest of health and always having just enough money in his pockets to belanja (treat) friends.

As it was nearing Chinese New Year, Pavilion has once again pulled out all the stops for their decorations. So what better way to appreciated for ever capturing the gorgeous decor then to take pictures.

The Ladies of the bunch.

Better view of the giant Flower Ball behind us.

Me donating a hug.

Hmm...Why was I frowning and smiling at the same time?

Family picture.

Take his left side, LEFT SIDE!

Camwhoring with a DSLR is no easy feat

It was actually my 1st time ever meeting a bunch of Nuffnang bloggers and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole 4hours of chatting, prodding, joking, munching, laughing and picture taking moments.

Hope to meet more of you good looking people in the flesh.

  • All cupcakes were harmed and eaten in this event.
  • All pictures were hijacked from the attendee of the aforementioned event.
  • Anyone want's to see the video version of the Birthday song? TEEHEE

Should I get a pistol?

Seriously,
Should I get a pistol?
RM90
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
For this,

The PS3 Light Move Pistol.

Paying about RM90 for a piece of plastic.

It's a casing for the Sony PS3 Move.
So far haven't gotten any games that requires a gun. No FPSs out yet.

Channeling Lara Croft and Angelina Jolie's lips.

And actually I can't stomach FPS games. Literally so.
I get motion sickness within the 1st 20 minutes. Yeah, weak stomach I know.
But BS is totally into FPS.
An early Birthday gift?

So...should I?
Already have 2 move and a Move Navigation controller.

Wanna see my Moves?
Try to spot them HERE

New Year Haul at Sasa

UPDATE: I was too early and missed the Sale by 2 days! Right now Sasa having sales till 13 Jan 2011.
Hmm... a second NY haul?

New Year Haul!

I love visiting Sasa. They always have some thing new or kooky or discounted plus the girls there are so nice. Well I can only vouch for the outlet in Sunway Carnival Mall.

So here is my New Year haul.

Sasa's very own lashes. Rm9.90

Recently I'm into falsies. Nothing too dramatic but I absolutely love these. Simple yet elegant. The everyday glamorous and cheap too. I'm still using an old pair which lasted me more the 5 wear, with proper care of course.

Canmake about RM19++

Another pair, quite similar aren't they? I bought these Canmake lashes as I have a big event coming up and I want to look dolled up so I though of using 2 pairs to add to that extra glamour.

Masks galore, RM10 for ALL.

Truthfully I haven't tried them out yet but stay tuned for updates.

Skin Peptoxyl

This was the main reason for my indulgence. I've always wanted to try it.
Thicker and longer lashes might actually nip my budding falsies addiction in the bud.
At about RM70++ I thought I'll give it a go and of course report to you darlings all about it. Give me 4 weeks for a proper review alright?

Nothing quite like a shopping spree to make a girl happy.

So have you started your New Year haul?

2011 Resolution

The new decade is here! Hurrah! *Pops fireworks and champagne*

I assume that many of us have had our fair share of celebrations and some have even nursed their hang overs.

How did I celebrated my New Year's Eve? By hugging 2011, in my dreams. Yes, it is true. I'm such a bore sometimes.

Let's talk about resolution. In the past years I've set them, achieved some and failed in many. So this time, I'm going to make them in bit size manageable pieces. Let's start:

1. Be a nicer person.
Wow that's general.
Alright, bit sized: Give someone something or help someone once a week with no strings attached. Examples always makes me understand better so,
FOR EXAMPLE: treating friends to meals, helping with work, giving my darling readers presents on Bonjour Glow, etc.

2. Be more organized.
Bit size: Get a journal/diary thing a ma jig. I've had many before but they never survive past March. A smart phone perhaps?
Example: Immediately jot down any appointments, important dates or notes.
-can you already tell I'm being more organized?

3. Use the kitchen more.
Bit size: Cook or bake 2-3 times a month.
Example: Instant noodles don't count. Try out a new recipe once a month

4. Make/Save more money.
Bit size: Get my 1st advertorial and hopes that it snowballs from there. One can hope right? Save 1/3 or more of my salary.
Example: More projects so the organization will be handy and enjoy more Malaysian hawker food/ home cooked meals.

P/S: I've already started!

5. Get better at blogging.
Bit size: Truth be told, it is nice to earn some extra cash thanks to online advertisers like Nuffnang and Google Ads. So I have to get a formula, dashboard and a better more organized layout. Is a name card necessary?
Example: Learn from the best like Violet Le Beaux, Super KawaiiMama, Cheesie, Kenny etc. Anymore please suggest.

6. Connect to family and friends more often.
Bit size: Once a week call or write to family and friends.
Example: Write personal emails or messages on Facebook, SMS, call, Skype, Tweet or MSN.

7. Get started on my masters.
Bit size: Need to level in the brainwashing world. Become better and more effective an actually know what am I doing.
Example: Actually calling up the University and getting the forms and meeting the lecturers. Daunting task but one requires much courage and thick skin to better oneself.

8. Travelling overseas.
Bit size: Melbourne is the most probable location this year, don't think I can afford Japan as Milan Italy is planed for next year. Any angels willing to lend a helping hand?
Example: Coming up with a date, connecting with locals, Air Asia stalking.

9. Learn adult stuff.
Bit size: How to make my money grow. No money trees involved.
Example: Investments, insurance, loans, tax, banking etc. No MLM please.

10. To be a better version of myself
Bit size: Upgrade in terms of health, appearence, personality and achievements.
Example: Read more, talk more, reflect more, explore more. Oh and playing more Play Station 3 Move especially Gladiator as I can work out and let of any aggression ^^

Since it's 2011 shall we have one more?

11. To be a good influence for those around me.
Bit size: Sound like world peace. Well I believe in being good and it will vibrate to the others around you.
Example: Smiling and making eye contact, dress up nicer for others, be more polite and gracious. Hmm...perhaps I should re-watch My Princess Diaries.

Well that's all from me. Thank you for reading, and if you didn't read all I still thank you for dropping by and contributing to the number of unique visitors to Bonjour Glow.
