Last Chinese New Year I made the trip back to central Malaysia alone. This is my story and the people I've met.
The air was cold as I bade goodbye to my caretakers at Penang airport. It was the second day of Chinese New Year and already I was flying off. As I made my way to the checking points, I couldn't help but to feel like a spy. Sun glasses on, faux fur wrap and a Samsonite bag in tow.
In no time I was on the plane. An old lady was designated to spend 45 minutes with me throughout the journey. To avoid any suspicion, I made small talk. In case she was my contact. Turned out she wasn't, but I managed to extract some interesting details from her.
Age: Old
Current residence: Bukit Mertajam
Status: In her words "Happily ready to go any time" which worried me as I was in the same plane as her and I still had some missions to complete.
Physical state: Noticeable back problems and signs of wrinkles.
Mental state: Open and friendly
Family: Husband deceased. A whole bunch of sons and daughters, not all are married. Also a brood of grandchildren.
Advice: Travel when you are young.
Happy or sad it's another day so mind as well be happy.
If food is good eat more, if food is bad eat less, don't complain so much.
I suspect we jumped into a time warp. We reached Subang airport ahead of time.
Factoring in her aforementioned health condition, my programming strongly suggests that I assist with her luggage.
Sure enough, her female progeny and her young male off spring were waiting at the pick up point. I caught a glimpse of suspicion in her micro expressions and as my programming suggest a wide smile and leaning towards to old lady would diffuse that suspicion.
It worked.
While leaning over, I decided to fan the old lady's pride of her off springs by obviously pointing out the filial aspect of her daughter and grandson for being there at the crack of dawn with excitement to pick up their matriarch.
A card well played as in exchange I received the physical gesture usually reserved for humans in close emotional connection.
I got a hug.
My system can't seem to register what had happened between that and my arrival to Empire Shopping Gallery.
The hug must have temporarily disabled my reality units.
So there I was at my next pick up point. There was a problem blending in as most of the stores had delayed their opening hours.
Was this a trap?
Mental note, update logic card regarding store opening hours during public holidays and crowd pattern predictions...
And sales location as well.

Not wanting to me an easy target roaming the near empty hallways of the shopping gallery I strategically placed myself at a local dining shop.
I hid.

Re applied my disguise as I awaited my contact.
As I got a message noting that the meet up would be delayed a further 3 hours I panicked.
I was in maximum exposure and minimal help in aid of my disguise.
So I called out an SOS for back up through my Twitter. I had to hack into the wireless connection through my Samsung N210 netbook as the communications gadget, coded SE C903, supplied to me were of no smart features.
Darn budget cuts.

Only one managed to find me. My secondary contact.
This will go into my file report as evidence and recommendation for high efficiency.
Thank you @Jayren for finding me and aiding me in my moment of exposure to boredom,
I mean danger.
Age: Young
Current physical residence: Subang area, near Empire Shopping Gallery and Subang Air Port.
Current online residence: Twitter
Status: Single and available.
Disguise: Student and fellow blogger/spy
Physical state: Healthy and fast.
Mental state: Friendly
Another time warp ensued as my primary contact arrived in a white Audi A2.
What is with all these time warps?
I bade my secondary contact farewell as my Chinese New Year mission began.
P/S: Have you ever imagined you're self being another character? A spy? A mogul? A celebrity? Do share in the comments below.

Interesting write up, took me a while to actually understand the whole thing :P
Well, I've never imagine myself being another character probably because I'm just happy to be me or I'm not the kind that imagine too much.

I have imagined myself sometimes as a spy, but I like the way you put it and how you did the status reports. The woman with you on the plane's status made me really laugh.
Interesting post. I have always imagined myself being this successful businessman with loads of sub businesses to handle. :)
Time warp eh? Interesting indeed!
Left my foot print..
