Butterfly Farm, Penang

A continuation from the previous post of our stay at Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Batu Feringghi Click HERE to view that post.

Did you know that Batu Feringghi actually meant Foreigners Rock? Perhaps it due to the amount of tourist soaking up the sun, sea and sand.
But other then baking in the Straits of Malacca, there are a few places you can hide from the scorching sun. Our choice of sanctuary and entertainment,

Alright ready? Enjoy the lovely butterflies.

Immediately upon entering. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!

Poor thing.

Not bad shot, if I do say so my self, considering it's from my old canon ixus 70.

Star burst?

So cute.

Pitcher plant.

Can you spot me? I'm blending in.

Kawaii~

This for the guys, sleek and uber cool black butterfly.

Rajah Brooke, pride of Malaysia. The ones with a little white are the females and the mostly blacks are the males.

Creepy crawly caterpillars ~

It's not all leaf here. There's a leaf insect...can you spot it?

ZEGS have attacked Penang! Joking.

I previously blogged about this and Starcraft HERE

Sweet nectar.

Not just butterflies here, some other creepy crawly galore~

Love this decoration. It's by the bridge near the mandarin ducks.

No, you are not allowed to eat the butterflies, silly.

Lastly, on the way out

something horrible happened....

I was attacked!

But I lived to blog today thanks to my hero...

MY HERO!

All pictures taken with my humble... .

Canon Ixus 70. Yes, very humbly.

I'm off hunting for more local gems to explore. If YOU my dearest readers have any suggestions on must see places or must taste food especially in Penang, let me know in the comment box below.

Butterflies must be nice! I've visited the butterfly section in Melbourne Zoo twice, when I go in, I can sense to 180 degree change of temperature and humidity.

You blend into the waterfall makes you look like a beautiful fairy from paradise :)
