Koh Samui 1: Dinner @ Red Snapper

It's our honeymoon and our 1st night in Koh Samui so we wanted to treat ourselves to some good food. So after about an hour of exploring the streets of Chaweng uptown It was at night so didn't dare to go downtown as that's where the more adventurous go we found this place called the Red Snapper. It was selected as one of the best restaurants by Tattlers in 2009 so we had to go dine here.

The poster that caught our eyes.

Happily seated in a little corner. Everyone else were dressed so nicely except us. Me in my sundress and Ben in his T-shirt and shorts. Selamba~

This was our menu for the night. We were celebrating our marriage and they were celebrating their anniversary^^

Lovely bottle of white wine. From Chile, new world and warm climate so as expected it was sweet^^

We tried but couldn't finish the whole bottled so we ta pao doggie bag the bottle back to our hotel for further celebrations later on.

Our amuse bouch surprise. It sure did amused out taste buds. A little entree to start the night.

Grilled Chicken on bamboo marinated with Moroccan spices or better known to us Malaysian, a version of the Satay but it was so tender and juicy and the mango chutney at the side was at just the right acidity and sweetness. A dish that I might return to Koh Samui for.

The BouillabaisseAlign Center.

You know you're in a high end restaurant when the plates are huge or oddly shaped and the portions are tiny but you're not complaining much coz the food is THAT good.

Home made lobster cannelloni. Creamy sauce+ Lobster= Happy days.

Red Snapper fillet in herb crust. Only 1 complain, this portion was waaaaaay too small. Perhaps they want to leave you wanting more?

Dark Chocolate Pave. Soft melting chocolate cake with supposedly peppermint sherbet but think it melted but you can really taste the refreshing peppermint.

We left The Red Snapper satisfied and with a lighter walet but still feeling a little hungry so we got a burger on the way back to the hotel.

On the way to our room I was abducted by ALIENS! I think it was the wine taking over my body *blush*

"Beam me up, Scottie"

Joking of course. This was the huge lamp that lighted our corridor. And once in our cozy little love nest look what we found. Not an alien of course.

Aw, how lovely~
