Thinking back to what made me happy and the memory of dressing up came to mind. I was born with very, very little hair and being from a family of 3 macho boys my mom was afraid that I'll turn into a tomboy so she would dress me up in girly, frilly, lacey clothes. I never wore pants or shorts till I was 7 years young. Not that I mind, it was fun dressing up as a little princess.

I would have a large hat with flowers, lacey stockings, and a chain of pearls borrowed from my mom. Yes, I was a young hime gyaru and I didn't even knew it. If you're not sure what the term hime gyaru means, basically it's a style of dressing up as princess like as possible. I'll leave it to the experts to explain to you. Go and check out the lovely Violet. I simply love the way she manages to look like an everyday princess and on a budget!
So, dress up it is! It was perfect as I just bought a frilly dress online. My subconscious hime must have sensed that I needed one soon. After about 30 mins of scavenging, make up, and hair....
Big hair check, lacey details check. Sorry no false lashes or stockings.
Pearls check, flowers check, ribbons check!
Apologies to all the hime gyaru followers out there. I know it's a far cry from the true style so let's just say I was "inspired". It was a spur of the moment idea.
After a long hour of cam-whoring, back to reality I went. It was already 11 pm so I couldn't go anywhere to enjoy my outfit. Off came the flowers, pearls and ribbons. Back to the closet the dress went. A hot shower and a cup of hot coco with cinnamon and marshmallows later I was a content little girl tucked snugly into her bed, drifting off into slumber.

Very interesting way to perking yourself up.
Myself, normally it's either photography or dancing. Just went through a break-up and didn't want to think too much so it was off to the latin club i went. For that 4hrs, it's just my dance and me.
Same with photography, I can just let go of everything and just focus on what I need to do whether it's shooting a model or shooting a landscape. Enjoying every moment and every detail.

@Micheal we each have our own way of healing^^ yours is more healty with the dancing and creative with the photography. But mine is much simpler ^^
